OIDO means ‘to hear’ and ‘to understand’. In Spanish kitchens, ‘¡Oído!’ is the standard call used to confirm orders – a clear signal for attention and smooth teamwork. This principle shapes our OIDO online shop: listening to and understanding the needs of small and medium-sized food businesses is the foundation of our work.
Shortly before the pandemic, we developed a digital ordering system for a local fish wholesaler that enabled him to sell his goods directly to end customers. Within the first month of lockdown, he gained over 1,000 new customers – and it became clear to us that this should not remain a one-off case. OIDO was born out of this experience.

We want to provide small and medium-sized businesses in particular with a professional online shop and ordering system, a digital tool that puts them on an equal footing with large supermarket and restaurant chains while strengthening their direct link to their customers. We want to help businesses work more efficiently, avoid misunderstandings and offer their products in a personal and accessible way – both online and on site. Our goal is to strengthen direct relationships between producers and customers so that more of the value added remains with the producers.
This is another reason why the OIDO online shop is independent, self-financed and sustainable thanks to our users' subscriptions. OIDO order+pay systems s.l. is a limited liability company based in Sitges, Spain, whose sole purpose is to continuously develop the OIDO online shop and provide it as Software as a Service (SaaS). OIDO™ is a European Community trademark.
We have been developing digital solutions in the food sector for over 15 years. Our apps have already been named ‘App of the Year’ in the App Store.
